The QS Global MBA Rankings 2019 have been released on Friday, May 31,2019 at 3pm. The schools are ranked based on the following key indicators: employability, entrepreneurship, alumni outcomes, return on investment, thought leadership and diversity.
The top 10 programs ranked globally are:
10. Columbia Business School, US
The Columbia Business School (CBS) MBA program based in New York, Columbia, prepares students to lead, build, and manage companies effectively and efficiently. The full-time MBA offered at CBS is a residential program split over two years which an average GMAT score 732. It provides specialisation to students in many fields such as: accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, healthcare and pharmaceutical management, leadership and ethics management, marketing, media and technology, etc.
In addition, other options are also available through the university. These include: an MBA/MS in urban planning, an MBA/DDS in oral surgery, an MBA/JD in law, an MBA/MS in engineering and applied science, an MBA/MPH (Public Health), an MBA/MS in nursing, an MBA/MS in journalism, and MBA/MS in social work, an MBA/MA in private school leadership, an MBA/MD in medicine, and an MBA/MIA in international affairs.
Columbia's 24-month MBA program tuition costs US$148,000, but with a subsequent boost in salary post-MBA to US$125,000. Women make up 41 percent of the cohort and international students make up 43 percent. However, Columbia's class size is the largest we have on the top 10 list with 753 students, and if you like the idea of a booming cohort, Columbia may be the right choice.
8. University of Chicago Booth School of Business, US(tie).
This year, Booth School of Business has made its way into the top 10, jumping up from 12th place in 2018. Booth School based in Chicago, IL which offers the students many programs such as: Full time MBA, Part time MBA, Weekend MBA, Executive MBA and PhD program. The average GMAT score is 731 and average student age is 28 years.
Full-time MBA applicants require a college degree equivalent to the four-year American baccalaureate degree. Three-year international degrees are also accepted. New students are admitted to the full-time MBA program in the autumn quarter only.
The admissions process consists of two main components—application and interview. The completed application should include personal and professional information, answers to essay questions, two recommendation letters, scanned transcripts from post-secondary institutions, GMAT / GRE and TOEFL / IELTS / PTE scores, and $250 application fee. Booth’s Full time MBA tuition costs US$100K to $149K with an average post-graduation salary of $120K to $129K. Students join from around the globe and shape their own experience.
Like other prestigious business schools in the US, Booth's tuition for the 21-month program is quite high at $US144,000, however, students will still see a boost in their salary to US$125,000.
8. IE Business School (tie)
IE business school based in Madrid, Spain provide quality education to the students and offers them many programs such as: Tech MBA, Executive MBA, Full time MBA, Global online MBA, Masters in Management, Masters in Finance and many more with the average GMAT score 685. 7. HEC Paris
HEC Paris based in Jouy-en-Josas is one of the most selective business schools in the world. There are three different MBA programs designed for three specific groups of professionals: MBA, Executive MBA and Trium. The MBA program at HEC Paris is consistently ranked in the top 20 worldwide. Students come to HEC Paris not just to learn, but also to share their knowledge and experience. Student must also have 5 years minimum of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.

The 16-month MBA program costs US$74,481, with an average post-graduate salary of US$115,500. Women make up 32 percent of the cohort, as well as 92 percent international students and 55 nationalities. Students are on average 30-years-old with an average of six years work experience.
6. INSEAD, Paris
INSEAD was the first institution in Europe to offer an ample number of programs such as: MBA, Executive MBA, Master in Management, Executive Master in Change, Executive Master in Finance, Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA and remains one of the world’s best School for studying the course, and globally it’s ranked sixth. It is in Fontainebleau, France.
There isn’t a minimum INSEAD GMAT score requirement, it recommends that applicants aim for atleast a 75th percentile GMAT score to be considered, which is 650. INSEAD also recommends that its students should hit the 75th percentile for both the quant and verbal sections and score a 6 or higher on the integrated reasoning section.

Sloan based in Cambridge, MA is one of the most selective business schools in the world and offers an ample number of programs such as: MBA, Master of Finance, Executive MBA, Master of Business Analytics, Leaders for Global Operations, PhD, Sloan Fellows MBA and many more with an average GMAT score 728.
The 24-month program costs US$148,400 with a subsequent boost in post-MBA salary of US$125,000 compared to US$66,693. The average work experience is 5 years with an average age 28.

The 21-month MBA program costs US$92,718 with a subsequent rise in post-MBA salary from US$70,903 to US$107,931. The average GMAT score is 707 with an average work experience of 5 years.

Wharton's 21-month MBA program tuition is the most expensive on our global top 10 list at US$157,896 with a subsequent boost in post-MBA salary from US$82,357 to US$130,000. Wharton has the second largest class size in our global list with 863 students which comprises of 44% women and 33 percent of students are international.
2. Harvard Graduate School of Business, US
Harvard Graduate School of Business based in Boston, MA is one of the highest-ranked business schools in the world this year. It is also known as the originator of the MBA, who ran the first MBA course in 1908. HBS offers a full-time, two-year, residential MBA program designed to prepare students for global leadership roles. The average GMAT score is 730 with an average work experience of 4 years and average age 27.
Admission requirements includes: Adequate command of spoken and written English is required for admission. Non-native English speakers must take the TOEFL or IELTS, unless they have obtained the equivalent of a US bachelor degree from an institution at which English is the language of instruction. Candidates for admission should have strong records of academic performance in GRE general test or GMAT scores.
Harvard's two-year program has the most students in class in our top 10 global ranking with 928 students which comprises of 35 percent international and 42 percent female students. The 24-month program costs US$146,880, but graduates will see boost in post MBA salary from US$87,751 to US$135,000.
1. Stanford Business School, US
Stanford Business School based in Stanford, CA is one of the most ranked business schools jumping up from fourth position in 2018. The b-school is the most selective institution in the US, with more applicants than any other business school in the country. The business school offers students a very wide range of degree opportunities.
The GMAT is required for admission. While there is no minimum GMAT requirement for graduate study at Stanford, admitted candidates typically perform well. Work experience is not required for entry to the Stanford MBA Program.
